*Lunch/Dinner/BBQ*
UPDATE: We have reached "critical mass" so that we could order
lunch/dinner from Linuxhotel as well, if all participants agree.
Dear participants:
Please let me know whether you would like to
[x] have lunch served by Linuxhotel on
    [ ] Saturday
    [ ] Sunday
    [x] both (vegan?!?)
[ ] have dinner served by Linuxhotel on Saturday
[x] have dinner at Unperfekthaus on Saturday, like last year
[x] bring your own food/order pizza/fire up the BBQ whenever you want
I need your answer by 2015-05-18, so I can make the proper
reservations and arrangements!!!

See above for food preferences. I loved Unperfekthaus last year, but a BBQ will be fine, too. Highly weather depend, possibly.

Eating regularly provides a rhythm for our work and rhythm is good for the soul. So we should really opt for served food.

Linuxhotel charges 5 EUR per person and lunch/dinner, however, you can
expect a discount on that due to the Hetzner sponsorship.

Dinner at Unperfekthaus is 15,90 EUR minimum (for 1 hour), 4 EUR extra
if you want to extend your stay to a total of 5 hours.
Mihai: Bring your student ID for a discount.

The dinner at Unperfekthaus was really nice. Getting away from keyboard in the evening on Saturday was a good thing to do, too.

*Event schedule*
The event schedule is still in the making. Note that this year, we
will have the option to split up into smaller groups in
different rooms for more effective co-working on individual topics,
hands-on demonstrations, and for side-topic presentations that may not
be of interest to the entire group.

Please let me know if you would like to volunteer for a
presentation/talk!!! E-Mail me at [email protected]

So far, we have two or three topics by Mike#1, one by Mike#2, one by

This is quite an important part. Please make sure that I will not walk you trough all the topics / discussions like last year. Stefan will be the workshops moderator mainly and requires contributions from all sides concerning content / talks / demos / discussions.

Since last year's gathering, I have started working on the Arctica Project and I am only contributing to X2Go a little here and there. Both projects overlap in the area of NX maintenance (which is my main focus in Arctica at the moment). So, I will contribute these topics / talks / discussions to the gathering:

  o status of NX development
o (optional, if wanted: status of Arctica Project)

I would also like to hand over the maintenance of the X2Go Session Broker to someone at the gathering (someone familiar with Python, ideally). I will be around for co-maintaining the session broker for some more time, but be prepared for having to find a new maintainer for the broker's code base sooner or later.

me (probably/hopefully together with Mike#1), and something like 2-4
topics by the TheQVD foilks.

As always, we will be updating the Wiki page
http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/events:x2go-gathering-2015
as more information becomes available.

Thanks to Stefan for being the fabulous and meticulous organizer of this gather-together-event!
