You can use xrandr to set the screen size:
xrandr -s 1440x900
It may not go to that size, it will only set to predefined screen sizes
that way.

I have found another way with wmctrl
for the size:
wmctrl -e 0,10,70,1268,792 -r alain@aupeix-GX723
for the title
wmctrl -r alain@aupeix-GX723 -N "x2go: alain@aupeix-GX723"
