Aside from account sharing being bad security practice and a bad idea in general, yes, some desktop environments will be more suitable than others for this. Of course, running X2GoClient in Published Application Mode (with --autostart to start the desired application right after the X2GoClient's login to the X2GoServer) would help avoiding this problem altogether, because then no remote desktop environment is involved, but this mode comes with autoresume enabled by default, meaning, if there is exactly one session in a suspended state, this one will be resumed instead of a new one being created. To avoid this, you can run X2GoClient with --no-autoresume as an additional parameter - then it will always prompt you if you want to resume or create a new one if at least one suspended session is detected.
