What do you mean by "large"? I currently have 25 sessions lying around in /tmp and they are 14MB in total. The largest one is 6.4MB. Is that really a problem? We had a bug a while ago where /tmp/.x2go-username/C-*/session.log grew to some GB (see https://www.mail-archive.com/x2go-user@lists.x2go.org/msg04107.html) but this is fixed in the current release nx-libs 3.5.99.26.
