Unfortunately, the Xerces source directory structure changed in 1.7, so there was no way to test for compatibility.
The current CVS sources are compatible with Xerces 1.7, so you can get the
latest from CVS if you want to build-your-own.

I've been unable to find any release notes as to whether Xalan-c 1.3.0 will
be compatible with the newer Xerces 1.7.
I'm just curious as to whether anyone on this list has been able to get the
two to work together.
