Its been a while since I built it but I suspect that your problem is that your XALANCROOT is set incorrectly - try pointing it to the "/c/" directory (e.g. /usr/src/xalan/c/) and then running make Samples (samples?).
I have to rebuild myself at some point shortly so if you haven't got a definitive answer by then I'll make another post. I was able to successfully build xalan. When i tried to build the ApacheModuleXSLT, i get: make: *** No rule to make target `/home/hsivapatham/sambashare/xml-xalan/obj/mod_xslt.o', needed by `/home/hsivapatham/sambashare/xml-xalan/lib/mod_xslt.so'. Stop. In fact, i am not able to build any of the samples. If i try to do "make Samples", i get: make: *** No rule to make target `/home/hsivapatham/sambashare/xml-xalan/obj/CompileStylesheet.o', needed by `/home/hsivapatham/sambashare/xml-xalan/bin/CompileStylesheet'. Stop. My build environment is: Platform: RedHat Linux 7.2 GCC version: 2.96 Make version: 3.79.1 Xerces version: 1.6.0 (i built it from source). Here are the commands that i executed: cd $XALANCROOT/c/src ./runConfigure -p linux -c gcc -x g++ make make Samples Any help is appreciated.
