I have very recently performed such migration myself;
here's a tiny (but in my opinion sufficient) treatise
on the subject: rewrite all of your current Xalan 1.0
invocation code to use the TrAX API instead. There is
a plethora of sample code for using the TrAX API at
http://xml.apache.org/xalan-j/usagepatterns.html ...
it should be all you need to get going swiftly.

Does anyone know of any resources describing what needs to be done to
migrate
from xalan 1.x to xalan 2.x?
Thanks,
Noel
