Came up with a simplified test which demonstrates the problem without Redirect,
so I've updated the Summary line. This test also eliminates the difference in
how the two values are obtained -- they're now both preloaded into variables,
rather than one being precomputed and the other computed on the fly -- to
simplify the scenario a bit more.

Result (now in the main XSLT output document) still shows $ax changing when it
shouldn't.
