The documentation and the samples are pretty much it. There are class
hierarchy diagrams that can help, depending on what you need to know.
If you're particularly interested in doing transformations, you should
concentrate on understanding the class XalanTransformer and the supporting
classes in that directory, as it's the preferred public API.
As with most large class libraries, there's a fairly steep initial learning
curve, but you have all of the source code to examine, so consider that
part of the documentation.

I am struggling (as many of you probably have) to understand the Xalan
classes and the best way of using them. Is there a source (beyond these
mailing lists) for helping me put the classes into perspective and
understand what each of them was meant to be used for. The Xalan C++
documentation only addresses initial questions, the class documentation is
pretty much nonexistent, and the sample programs address only the most
minimal problems. Please give me some pointers if you can. Thanks in
advance, - amo
