Actually I've come across this behavior as well, and while in one context (human 
readability of 
the output XML) I find it quite annoying, technically it could be a 'correct' XML 
output (I think).  
I thought someone mentioned the problem was that the parser could chunk this kind of 
data at will, 
as long as when you then parse the XML you get the right answer.  Um, could someone 
else fill in a 
better description?

Gosh, just proves that I shouldn't try to comment on bugs this early in 
the morning!
