The stylesheet worked as expected. When I attempted to execute the stylesheet using XALAN the following exception was thrown: HIERARCHY_REQUEST_ERR: An attempt was made to insert a node where it is not permitted. I realise that this is not very much information. If requested I can supply both the stylesheet and the source XML document.
