plural half-spaces(0x20) don't change to single half-space

I think Xerces's method "setIncludeIgnorableWhitespace" is related to it.
But, transform method received it and changed four spaces to four spaces.
But then, Xalan changed five "&nbsp"s to one space.
Though I wished ,as html, four spaces changed single space...
