yes, I had to. Since xalan isn't supported on cygwin any more, I took the
windows binaries from e.g.
ftp://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/mirrors/apache/xml/xalan-c/binaries and put
them into /usr/local/bin. You can also put the includes
into /usr/local/include and use them as if xalan-devel were installed.
I'm not sure what you mean by "xalan isn't support on cygwin any more."
I build Xalan-C under Cygwin on a regular basis. What problems are
people seeing?
