So says David Levin, head of phone software firm Symbian, reviewing the firm's future prospects.

He said the falling cost of putting extras, such as cameras, into handsets would mean big changes for the consumer electronics market.

Second: Enable the WAP feature on your phone. In order words get connected. To do this call your service provider i.e. T-Mobile, AT&T wireless, Vodafone, etc. They will be more than happy to get you connected, why? It is their job.

Once you are all done, now you are ready to have serious fun with your mobile phone

Mobile phones are becoming more and more powerful
People are going to be spending millions of pounds to play games on their mobiles by next year, say experts.

Mobile gaming is seen by many as the next big thing, as phones become more powerful and come with colour screens.

"This has been a very good year for mobile gaming," said games consultant Robert Tercek.

"With what's happening in Asia, Europe and North America, we're well on track towards a billion dollar market in 2004," he said.

Sales of mobile phone ringtones are expected to rise 60% this year, said the Mobile Data Association (MDA).

An estimated �70m of ringtones will be sold in 2003 - up from �40m in 2002 - according to the MDA, a non-profit trade group.

Music company Universal told BBC Radio 4's Today programme that the profit margin for recent Sugababes hit Round Round was larger on the ringtone than the single.

Most pop hits are available to buy as mobile phone rings - as are other popular tunes such as TV themes - for between �1.50 and �3.50.

Many young mobile phone-owners change their ringtones regularly to keep up with the latest songs.
