I started looking around a bit late.. and I found some info in the wiki:
http://www.xastir.org/wiki/index.php/Server_Port
So the string I would use would be:
xastir_udp_client localhost 2023 w2lie-1 <passcode> -to_rf
"ARES_MEET!4044.14N\07334.84W!ARES Meeting 2nite @ 1930hrs"
That would send the info out to RF and would IGATE if IGATE it enabled in
XASTIR.
BTW - All of my TNC's are in KISS mode...
