Hello all, An updated ImageMagick package has been released for Cygwin and this seems to fix the previous issues. So far I've tested it on Windows ME (note, Windows 9x/ME soon will not be supported by Cygwin) and Windows 2000, both with good results.
I'm still playing with VMWare and other options but for those who have held off on updating their Cygwin, it looks like the "don't" warning is at least temporarily removed.
