[Xastir] Using Synaptic with Ubuntu

[Rick GMail]

I  am new to linux and was was trying to install xastir
using Synaptic and it cannot  find the package xastir
and when I attempted to run the command line 
 
sudo apt-get install xastir  It tells me the package cannot be found
 
what am I doing wrong?
