You should install x11proto-print-dev.
I don't think that's right.
Try installing libxp-dev.
Something in the package system must have changed. A user some
time ago
claimed that installing libxp-dev through apt-get was necessary,
and I doubted
that because I hadn't explicitly installed it myself --- the motif
library
should have caused it to be installed as a dependency, but
apparently it
doesn't anymore (maybe lesstif did and OpenMotif doesn't).
libxp is the X print extension, and libxp-dev will install the
header files
that are clearly trying to be installed.
If installing libxp-dev is the answer to this, then I'll need to re-
re-re-edit
the wiki page for the Ubuntu 6.10 install.
From the error message, the missing file was X11/extensions/Print.h,
and
$ apt-file search X11/extensions/Print.h
x11proto-print-dev: usr/include/X11/extensions/Print.h
There is no such file in libxp-dev (which I don't have installed.)
Possibly it was part of that package at one time.
