On Wed, Apr 11, 2007 at 11:59:43AM -0600, we recorded a bogon-computron collision of the <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> flavor, containing: > I just checked the Xastir wiki and find that a number of pages have been > clobbered today. > > The pages modified were: > > Page: Time: Who: > Downloads 10:56 ZyzZrt > HowTo:Contributing 10:45 Wm1Bsk > HowTo:Ubuntu 6.10 LiveCD; 09:35 Uf9Vv1 > HowTo:DBFAWK; 00:20 VgbHlt
Two minutes after I restored the Downloads page, someone clobbered the Notes:CVS page. Fortunately, restoring these pages is easier than I thought -- one simply uses the "Recent Changes" list, clicks the "hist" link, then clicks on the last good revision of the file --- and edits that. The editor warns you something to the effect of "you are editing an outdated revision, if you save this you will lose all changes that have been made since." If you are a wiki page author (or care that the Xastir wiki remains a good resource for its users), please make a habit of looking over the Recent Changes page for suspicious activity. Chuck: if you're listening, are you aware of any MediaWiki settings that can be used to make registration with editing privilege a bit less open?
