Thanks for the assist, Curt. While looking through the help files, I found a screen shot of the timing window:
http://www.xastir.org/wiki/index.php/Notes:Timing_Slider_Dialog_Screensh ot ____ For my APRS setup at home, there is no DIGI-peater for over 25 miles. My antenna and power output (25feet-25watts) is capable of reaching it, but I've seen some low-power local APRS activity that never reaches a DIGI. I'd like to enable my Xastir setup to respond to Wide1-1 as a fill-in. How is that accomplished? All I've seen my setup transmit is the posit beacon and nothing else (at least... nothing else that I can tell...). See: http://www.findu.com/cgi-bin/raw.cgi?call=N4CMB In the on-line wiki, it says: "Home fill-in digi's (only where absolutely needed) should be set up to respond to 'WIDE1-1' now instead of 'RELAY'. " What menu item sets a response to Wide1-1 activity? Sorry to be so basic in my questions... - Mark N4CMB -----Original Message----- From: Curt, WE7U [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, April 11, 2007 12:29 PM To: Rice, MA Mark @ IS Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [Xastir] Configuration of operation not clear On Wed, 11 Apr 2007, Rice, MA Mark @ IS wrote: > Can someone point out what those sliders are for, or direct me to an > online page that discusses it? I'll bet you're using Lesstif instead of OpenMotif, or perhaps an OpenMotif with that particular bug. It's a bug in the Motif widget set that you're currently using in any case. I don't have that bug with OpenMotif on OpenSuSE-10, but several others have reported it when they use Lesstif. These are the sliders in the current Xastir: On the left: ------------ Posit TX Interval (min) Object/Item TX Interval (min) GPS Check Interval (sec) Dead-Reckoning Timeout (min) New Track Time (min) RINO -> Objects Interval (min), 0=Disabled Snapshot Interval (min) On the right: ------------- Station Ghosting Time (min) Station Clear Time (hours) Station Delete Time (days) Serial Inter-Char Delay (ms) New Track Interval (degrees) Internet Map Timeout (sec) -- Curt, WE7U.
