I sort-of track GDAL CVS on one of my machines, and it is rare (as in every few years it might happen for a day or two) that new versions of GDAL break the xastir compile. So 1.4.0 should work Just Fine. GDAL's API is pretty stable, tons of geospatial codes rely on it. -- Tom Russo KM5VY SAR502 DM64ux http://www.swcp.com/~russo/ Tijeras, NM QRPL#1592 K2#398 SOC#236 AHTB#1 http://kevan.org/brain.cgi?DDTNM "And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway?
