I have been running digi_ned/aprsd on a KPC3+ in KISS mode for the last
two or so years with mucho mucho difficulties. I built a TNC-X kit for
the legacy packet radio a year or so ago and it has run flawlessly ever
since.
I gave up running the KPC+ in KISS mode a few days ago and ordered a new
TNC-X kit to replace it. I guess Kantronics really didn't intend for the
TNC to run in KISS 24/7.
