Use $ESCINFO[] rather than $INFO[]

When was this changed? Consider me dumb, but except for recently added example
I have no idea where else should it be used?? I just don't get it.

Do skins really need to think about this kind of issues?

Why don't we post such things to forum? It is very hard to follow this list as
info gets mixed with code.

And who is this user using comma in file names - I would like to send him a
letter of gratitude :-)

hi,

sadly we cannot handle binary add-ons at the moment. it's something we
hope to fix soonish but atm there will be no other response to this
pull.

As per a conversation in the forum with Ronie, I'm going to take over
managing this add-on. I'll let you know later if that's a blessing or
a curse. '-)

v1.2.0
- added ability to use local or remote images
- added priority image control to use local first, remote first, or both
- added option to restrict downloads to 16:9 images
- added option to have slideshow refresh after every image download or
after x seconds
- added option for override folder that will be showed instead of artists images
- updated logic to refresh images after all are downloaded
- fixed potential script crash if remote sites unavailable
- experimental support for limiting size of cache folder

i promise it'll be heaven on earth... once we've sorted the initial nitpicks.
:-)

minor nitpick: most of the files have the executable bit set, if you could fix
that please.

major nitpick: don't use any 33xxx - 34xxx string id's. those will overlap with
strings used in xbmc's language file.
ranges 30xxx and 32xxx are reserved for addons.

cheers,
ronie

Another thing is that if you're sending an infolabel into a builtin function
(eg PlayMedia($INFO[ListItem.Path]) sort of stuff) you'll want to use
$ESCINFO[] rather than $INFO. Otherwise any commas returned by the infolabel
will be interpreted as if they're separating parameters in the builtin. eg:

PlayMedia($INFO[ListItem.Path])

might return:

PlayMedia(/some/path/with_a_file_that_includes,a_comma.avi)

This will be read by the builtin function generator as PlayMedia called with 2
parameters: "/some/path/with_a_file_that_includes" and "a_comma.avi". Clearly
this is not going to work.

Simple solution: Change to PlayMedia($ESCINFO[ListItem.Path]) will make sure
that whatever is returned by the infolabel is sent on to the builtin as a
single parameter.

An obvious example here is recently added on home. Make sure you use
$ESCINFO[] as otherwise stacks won't play correctly (only the first bit will be
played).

tl;dr: Use $ESCINFO[] rather than $INFO[] if it's inside a builtin function.

Cheers,
Jonathan

It's kind of the same as how do you skin pvr when we don't have the
hardware? though dushmaniac was working on that with a dummy pvr addon
