Ok so is a structure like this ok?

Each add on straight off the root, and then some folders for other stuff I want
in there.

/weather.ozweather/default.py (etc)

/other-addon/default.py(etc)

/repository-downloads/someaddonnotinxbmcrepo.zip

To be honest it’s not git so much as googlecode – on github there was an easy
to find url for everything, but on googlecode it’s not so obvious, but github
wouldn’t let me pop a skin in there which was over 10mb, so I switched....

So am I right in thinking you basically clone my repo, take the bits your need,
and then push to the main eden repo, is that the general process? So basically
a simple folder with the addon name off the root is pretty simple?

Re: that skin file – no problems I will talk to jezz_x and throw it in a public
drop box in the meantime.

Everything is black magic until you take the time to learn. Git is very
powerful and thus not something you just use.

A revision number contains everything needed to make a commit unique. However a
git is one entity, you cannot extract subfolders.

Also those folders will piss off whoever handles weather pulls. Keep your files
at the root of the repository.

*addon - weather.ozweather
*version - 0.3.7

*branch - master
*xbmc version - eden

Ok this si my first try at this - I think I am may be (probably)
supplying the wrong url - the code is in /staging/weather.ozweather
but I am unsure of how to get the url for that specific bit of my
repo...
GIT is black, black magic as far as I can tell.

This is a weather add on for Australians that adds radars & 7 day
forecasts using official data...
See http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Add-on:Oz_Weather

It's been stable for a few weeks now so I think it's ready for the
official repo but let me know gently if I am wrong ;)

Cheers
