1. Please add the required tags (language, license, forum...). See

2. You should use Addon.getAddonInfo('path') instead of
os.path.abspath(__file__)
3. You should not write anything inside the addon directory (your DATA_DIR).
Use the Addon.getAddonInfo('profile') directory to write files.
