Hi Martijn,

Thanks for the info. Now I am not so sure about the next steps do I need to do
something or will the add-on be published once review is completed?

Regards,

Nico

Did not meant to be rude and sorry for the lack of precision.

In order to be constructive please find below the information for a newer
version of the plugin where the default integration of pulsar has been removed.
Instead Arch now uses Youtube as default video plugin. There is still the
possibility to change this in the settings (upper left green check). Hope this
will be more inline with KODI policy.

*addon - webinterface.arch
*version - 1.0.0
*url - git://github.com/abricot/webinterface.arch.git
*revision - 493ff1233ef578f39518bd0fb7e7a30d79728bb8
*branch - addon
*xbmc version - helix

for the record, the pulsar plugin is not in our repo.
i was only referring to the fact that there's a forum thread for it.

off-topic, but would we allow it in our repo if it was submitted?

ronie

Hi Guys,

First of all thanks for your time really appreciate it.

For the record I don’t have any issue with removing the pulsar integration from
the add-on. In fact one possible solution would be to play the movie/episode
trailer through the youtube plugin instead of trying to get the full thing
through pulsar. That being said I agree with ronie statement if pulsar add-on
is available through the official repo then it seems “natural” for other add-on
to try and integrate it.

Anyhow let me know what works best for you and I will stick to it :)

tough question...

while the plugin may be legal in itself (it does not contain any torrent
scrapers), it's use case is 100% piracy.

if we want to distance ourselves from piracy (and from the public opinion of
kodi being a means to get your movies for free)
we should start by removing the plugin.video.pulsar forum thread to the trash.

if, on the other hand, there is a consensus to condone the forum thread, then
it would be hard to forbid other addons
to add some kind of support for the pulsar plugin.

ronie

Hi Martin, Sascha,

Where you able to decide if the add-on could be published with the pulsar
integration? If this is not the case please let me know and I will be happy to
do the necessary to remove this functionality.

Nico
