For now that's the only way I see possible, as daemon support for hotplugging is broken (never disconnects within daemon), and thus gives the next attached controller the next controller slot, which may not exist and potentially cause problems. This current, and admittedly hacky solution, just ignores the controller slot feature entirely for now. Once that issue is fixed, which I'm guessing will be the next release, it will indeed be unnecessary and I will happily modify it so. Currently I envision it to be much much smaller once that is fixed. I will be starting a systemd version of this package also, so any idea are appreciated lol my end game Is to make my first mark, a programming portfolio if you will,and contribute to the community as a whole which I am so far thriving in.
