Hi, I'm working on a project with a Raspberry Pi 2 with RetroPie ver:3.0
beta and kodi running on it, I have xboxdrv installed and use my 360
wireless controllers through a recycled RF module from a rrod XBOX 360, The
RF module works great, but the project was lacking a few things:

1: The ability to sync controllers. - I added an external button to the
GPIO pins and have a script running that recognizes the button press and
tells the RF module to issue sync command with spinning LED's, Working
great.

2: Use the RF module power button to turn Raspberry Pi on/off - I have sort
of accomplished this I can turn off any connected controllers remotely,
turn off the RF module and start safe shutdown of the Raspberry Pi on
button press with another script, but I've been unable to get it to power
back up yet(Don't think I will either).

3: Use Controllers guide button to power up the Raspberry Pi - Work's, but
in all honesty I haven't a clue how I did it, let's just call it a bonus.

4: Finally and probably the finishing touch to the project is the R-O-L on
the RF module, I have all the commands to control the LED's and on powering
up the Raspberry Pi, The RF module does the XBOX 360 R-O-L inititiate and
start sequences and illuminates the power LED, but the kicker is I don't
know how to get the RF module to identify how many controllers are
connected and in turn light up the corresponding LED's.

Which is what has brought me here, In the hope that I might be able to get
some help to achieve that last bit of the puzzle, I'm not looking for
somebody to do all the work for me I just want a bit of help with questions
regarding xboxdrv and how I might go about doing this.

xboxdrv can identify which controllers are connected and illuminates the
relevant LED on each controller to Identify it, What I want to ask is:

1: Does xboxdrv save any of this information and update it every time a new
controller is added to a file anywhere that would be accessible to my
program, so I could then read the information at regular intervals and use
it to issue the commands to RF module to light up necessary LED's?.

2: If not, have you any suggestions that may be able to work for me, I
really believe xboxdrv hold's the answer to my problem.

I should add I have next to no Programming experience and how I got this
far along in the project is a miracle and shocked me but I'm determined to
finish it now, hopefully, with a little bit of help anyway.
many thanks.
Mark.
