OK, update on this, makehosts does the right job

"gpfs01","10.0.0.151","nfs-gpfs",,,
"gpfs02","10.0.0.152","nfs-gpfs",,,
"gpfs03","10.0.0.153","nfs-gpfs",,,
"gpfs04","10.0.0.154","nfs-gpfs",,,

/etc/hosts has the following

10.0.0.152 gpfs02 gpfs02.cluster.local nfs-gpfs
10.0.0.151 gpfs01 gpfs01.cluster.local nfs-gpfs
10.0.0.153 gpfs03 gpfs03.cluster.local nfs-gpfs
10.0.0.154 gpfs04 gpfs04.cluster.local nfs-gpfs

but doing "makedns -n" doesn't add the nfs-gpfs at all

# grep gpfs /var/lib/named/*

db.10.0.0:151                   PTR     gpfs01.cluster.local.
db.10.0.0:152                   PTR     gpfs02.cluster.local.
db.10.0.0:153                   PTR     gpfs03.cluster.local.
db.10.0.0:154                   PTR     gpfs04.cluster.local.
Binary file db.10.0.0.jnl matches
db.cluster.local:gpfs01                 A       10.0.0.151
db.cluster.local:gpfs02                 A       10.0.0.152

I tried this a while back by adding multiple aliases in the hosts table,
and then makehosts doesn't do the right thing.

Even then when I add the relevant aliases in the /etc/hosts file, the
bind.pm never did the right job, and always complained.

Is this new eith ddns.pm, I will have a go at this on my test cluster
some time today to confirm if it is working or not.
