Hi Francois. If you only have a management node (no service nodes), then you simply list the interfaces that you want DHCP to run against:
"dhcpinterfaces","eth0",, If you have service nodes, then you list the interfaces for the different nodes. So, if you want to run DHCP on eth0 for xCAT Management Server and on eth1 on Service Nodes, then you'd have something like this: "dhcpinterfaces","mn|eth0;service|eth1",, Hope this helps Cheers, Lawrence Cooper Message: 3 Date: Thu, 10 Nov 2011 13:36:53 +1300 From: Francois Bissey <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [xcat-user] [SPAM: 4.000] Re: DHCP configuration To: xCAT Users Mailing list <[email protected]> Message-ID: <0fc6fec883b801448be6f94adc62b0c40828a...@cantwe3.canterbury.ac.nz> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" > site table "dhcpinterfaces" > > dhcpinterfaces: The network interfaces DHCP should listen on. I am bit confused about your last section about assigning different nic for different nodes. What would it look like in tabdump?
