There is the potential that this could happen because the xCATsn
metapackage does call xcatconfig -d. This is not suppose to be called if
installing into an image, or if you are not configured with sqlite and only
on initial install. In theory this should not happen to you, but your
symptoms suggest this is exactly what is happening.
Could you give us your process for building the SN image. Is it diskless,
diskfull? Are you building on the MN and is the MN already setup with
something besides sqlite ( lsxcatd -a). Did this happen during the
image build or the install on the Service Node.
Thanks!

Subject: [xcat-user] xcat 2.7 service node image build

I’ve been having an issue with building service node images. It seems the
install of the xCATsn package during the building of a service node image
seems to wipe out bits of the site table and the postscripts table.

Specifically site.master=”NORESOLUTION” and site.nameservers=”NORESOLUTION”
and site.domain gets zero’ed out.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
- David Brown
