Yes this is a defect and we are working on a fix in a future ptf. The
defect is https://sourceforge.net/p/xcat/bugs/3412/.

For now, you can rename the osimage name to something that does not match
the $os-$arch-$provmethod-$profile of your node, or remove the postscript
and postbootscripts list from that image. Better yet start converting to
using osimage for provmethod, we are deprecating provmethod=install|
compute|statelite in 2.8 and overtime will stop supporting anything but
osimagename.

Here is a document to help

Subject: [xcat-user] postbootscripts

Greeting,
First time poster here.

I'm working with an xCAT 2.7 system.

When I run 'lsdef node1', it shows me the postscripts and postbootscripts.
The thing I can't understand is that there is an additional postbootscript
that gets run that doesn't appear in the list generated by lsdef.
The script is listed as a postbootscript for an image in the osimage table.

The thing is that the we aren't using osimage in the "nodeset" commands to
provision nodes.
We're still using "nodeset node1 install=compute" to provision the nodes.

So the question is, why isn't lsdef showing the postbootscript associated
with the osimage?
And is there a command to show me the definitive list of post*scripts that
will be run at install time?

Thanks
