Hi,
There is a hidden site table attribute "httpmethod", the default is
"http", you can change it to "nfs". This will apply to everything on the
kernal commend line (see bootparams table). If you just want to change
"ks=http://..."; to "ks=nfs://..." and keep others to http, then you need
to go to /opt/xcat/lib/perl/xCAT_plugin/anaconda.pm, search for "ks=",
change "$httpmethod" to "nfs". And then restart xcatd and then run nodeset
for the nodes and deploy the nodes. Hope it works for you.

Hi,

After some tests, I've noticed that the problem only happens when the
option "ks" in kcmdline is set up with http protocol. I've made a change
from scratch in order to use "nfs" instead of "http" and I've finally
installed a node connected to a switch setup with LACP.

Now I'd like to know how to change definitely the ks parameter to use nfs
protocol. Can anyone help me?

Best Regards,

Fabio Souza

I've made some tests and untill now I'm facing the problem installing a
server linked to a switch set up with LACP (802.3ad), but when I install
the same server with sysclone no problem happens. I have xCAT 2.8.4 trying
to install a CentOS 6.5. Can anyone help me?

Thanks,

Hi,

I'm trying to install a server with a switch set with LACP and I'm getting
the error: "Error downloading kickstart file". However when I do the same
process without a LACP configuration in my switch everything works fine.
Is there anything to set up at xCAT to be possible install a machine
linked to a switch with LACP?

Thanks in advance!
