which version of xcatd you are running?
I just installed a centos 6.6 on my x86_64 system and ran genimage, it went
successfully.
I have xcat2.11, I didn't see genimage_kvm in the
/opt/xcat/share/xcat/neboot/centos, so I think you should just use
genimage.
CentOS 6.6 has two iso DVD, make sure you ran copycds for both iso file
ls -ltr CentOS*
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 4632608768 Mar 17 15:52
CentOS-6.6-x86_64-bin-DVD1.iso
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1303465984 Mar 17 15:52
CentOS-6.6-x86_64-bin-DVD2.iso
I knew perl-IO-Tty-1.08-4.el6.x86_64.rpm is from DVD2.iso, you can check
if it is in the /install/centos6.6/x86_64/Packages.....
and for image, the pkglist should
be /opt/xcat/share/xcat/netboot/centos/kvm.centos6.pkglist

Subject: [xcat-user] making diskless image for kvm host
Is there any one has experience making diskless image for kvm host with
centos? Please someone help me.
I found two version of genimage in /opt/xcat/share/xcat/neboot/centos, they
are genimage and genimage_kvm.
Once I tried to genimage then I got an error such as
"couldn't find the kernel file matched 2.6.32-504.el6.x86_64
in /install/netboot/centos6.6/x86_64/kvmhost/rootimg/boot"
1. which version of genimage should i run if I generate kvm host diskless
image?
2. if the answer of #1 is genimage, not genimage_kvm, why did i get the
error message "couldn't find the kernel file matched 2.6.32-504.el6.x86_64
in /install/netboot/centos6.6/x86_64/kvmhost/rootimg/boot" ?
