Hi, Qamar:
How did you issue syncfiles? by the default, the syncfiles is added to
postscripts for the nodes.
postscripts=syslog,remoteshell,syncfiles
so for a new-installing node, the Syncing File action will be triggered
when performing the postscripts for the node.
In this case, you don't need to run updatenode -F or xdcp to sync file any
more.
Thanks,
Casandra

As I replied before could you send me your synclist file so that we try to
create this issue locally.
Thanks

Subject: [xcat-user] xCAT syncfiles issue
Date: Mon, Mar 21, 2016 10:37 PM
Hi,
We are facing some issues with xCAT where it runs the corresponding
script twice when synchronizing files across the clients.
i.e when you synchronize nslcd.conf across the nodes using
'synclist' and you have a script written for it to run when it
synchronizes the file to restart nslcd service(EXECUTE: section of
synclist), xCAT executes the script twice instead of once. We have
seen this on multiple xCAT clusters and all the clusters have only a
single Management node (no service nodes).
The version of xCAT is as below:
Version 2.10 (git commit
79c7f6949c09e0b49875f10ede4b75b18ad4a0e7, built Fri Jul 24 05:27:07
EDT 2015)
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
