Currently we run various things like ganglia, puppet and nagios on our management server. We'd like to slowly start moving them off - potentially to different servers.
Is it possible in xCAT to add a CNAME record to the dns - so that we can switch the service just by switching the DNS record and not having to move config encoded in our puppet setup. I can't see how to do this in http://xcat-docs.readthedocs.io/en/stable/guides/admin-guides/basic_concepts/network_planning/xcat_net_planning.html or http://xcat-docs.readthedocs.io/en/stable/advanced/networks/index.html I guess I could add an additional host (and therefore an A record), which would have a similar effect - though reverse DNS won't work. I'm slightly concerned it might have other consequences. Comments? Chris -- Dr Christopher J.
