xCAT development is embracing Agile. It has a regular release for each 6 weeks. It's not too long to wait for a new release before take the new dependency packages. So we recommend to use the xcat-core and xcat-dep which have been tested and accounted in the release notes.

FYI, prior to releasing 2.12.2, the change to xCAT-genesis-base to move /bin/restart was pushed for everyone, breaking discovery for all users.  2.12.2 is the only one that works with the current xcat-dep.

 

This was an unpleasant surprise…
