Nora,

What format as these captured images? Are they .iso files ?

Subject: [xcat-user] How can I use my own captured images on xCAT
without using Sysclone?!!

I have a local host machine ubuntu 16.

I have a virtual cluster with vms created by kvm/libvirt and vagrant.

My master node is trusty ubuntu 14 and it has xCAT installed.

I already have my own customized OS images on my local host that I want to
be deployed on my virtual slave nodes through the xCAT virtual master
node.

Is it possible to do that?

How can I use these images? I don't want to use Sysclone since I already
have my own captured images. I just want xCAT to recognize them and use
them directly.

Also, should the image be the same OS on the master and slaves? If yes, do
they also have to be the same exact version as well?

Please help meeeee I am a total beginner in Linux and xCAT!! :(
