To backup all the data of the management node, check:
https://xcat-docs.readthedocs.io/en/stable/guides/install-guides/maintenance/backup_restore_xcat.html

If you just want to save a single node definition, check "-z" option of
"lsdef" and "mkdef" commands.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [xcat-user] How to backup an existing xcat node

Hello,

I have a running xcat setup that contains various nodes. The setup works
perfectly, and includes a test node I can play with.

I would like to backup the configuration of this test node. What is the
recommended way to do that?

Thanking in advance,

Frank Hofmann
