I'm attempting to get as much done within the correct xCAT framework as
possible.
I created node definitions.
Then booted nodes into the genesis kernel for discovery.
Then started associating nodes with a script that looks in the
discoverydata table, finds the mac, then tells xCAT which node it is.
So, each node has this data in the definition:
bmc=192.168.3.81
bmcpassword=calvin
bmcusername=root
chain=runcmd=bmcsetup
cons=ipmi
mgt=ipmi
However, when install is complete, the ipmi details are not set.
If I try to manually run the bmcsetup script on a node, it seems to be
stuck in a loop doing getipmi.
Am I missing a step somewhere?
These are Dell R640 servers.
