The confignetwork postscript is the recommended way to configure your network interfaces on each of your nodes.
Here is some good overview information: https://xcat-docs.readthedocs.io/en/stable/guides/admin-guides/manage_clusters/ppc64le/diskless/customize_image/network/cfg_network_adapter.html?highlight=confignetworks Here is a section that specifically walks through configuring a bond interface with vlan information (you can ignore the bridge in this example as it does not apply to your situation): https://xcat-docs.readthedocs.io/en/stable/guides/admin-guides/manage_clusters/common/deployment/network/cfg_network_bond_vlan.html Note this restriction documented above: "VLAN, BOND or BRIDGES is only supported on RHEL." I've looked through the doc at https://xcat-docs.readthedocs.io/en/stable/advanced/networks/vlan/vlan.html , but that doesn't seem to pertain to what I need to do. I just need to configure vlan tagging on a bond0 interface that is external to the cluster. Is there a way to do that in xCAT? I can't get in to switch configuration because that switches are outside the cluster and not within our management scope. Thanks in advance.
