Hello, I am having trouble trying to use copycds to get a centos8 stream setup going with xcat. Can you please help?
Here is the xcat version: [root@labnet0-xcat-1 ~]# lsxcatd -v Version 2.16.2 (git commit a16ec7a7b05dfc37d6727121b1cbaed094a3ff04, built Thu May 20 17:08:12 EDT 2021) [root@labnet0-xcat-1 ~]# rpm -qa |grep -i xcat syslinux-xcat-3.86-2.noarch xCAT-genesis-base-ppc64-2.14.5-snap201811160710.noarch xCAT-client-2.16.2-snap202105201708.noarch xCAT-2.16.2-snap202105201708.x86_64 elilo-xcat-3.14-6.noarch ipmitool-xcat-1.8.18-3.x86_64 yaboot-xcat-1.3.17-rc1.noarch xCAT-server-2.16.2-snap202105201708.noarch xCAT-buildkit-2.16.2-snap202105201708.noarch xCAT-genesis-base-x86_64-2.14.5-snap201811190037.noarch xCAT-probe-2.16.2-snap202105201708.noarch xCAT-genesis-scripts-ppc64-2.16.2-snap202105201708.noarch perl-xCAT-2.16.2-snap202105201708.noarch xCAT-genesis-scripts-x86_64-2.16.2-snap202105201708.noarch grub2-xcat-2.02-0.76.el7.1.snap201905160255.noarch My ISO is: CentOS-Stream-8-x86_64-20210819-dvd1.iso I used the workaround from this link ( https://github.com/xcat2/xcat-core/issues/6947 ) , so I can at least run copycds. After I have done that, when I run copycds with the above ISO, I get this: [root@labnet0-xcat-1 ~]# copycds ./CentOS-Stream-8-x86_64-20210819-dvd1.iso Copying media to /install/image/ Media copy operation successful The image image- is created. [root@labnet0-xcat-1 ~]# lsdef -t osimage centos7.9-x86_64-install-compute (osimage) centos7.9-x86_64-netboot-compute (osimage) centos7.9-x86_64-statelite-compute (osimage) *image- (osimage)* *[root@labnet0-xcat-1 ~]# ls /install/image/ CentOS-Stream-8-x86_64-20210819-dvd1.iso * [root@labnet0-xcat-1 ~]# Note the osimage is just called "image-". I am not sure what I might have done wrong. Can you give me a hint on how I might be able address this problem? thanks
