Indeed I have. Thanks for the explanation. Should I fix my symbols,
or did my old method happen to produce the same output?
Actually, I just checked, and it looks like I can simply remove the extra
"/@parameter (text)" from the beginning of each symbol?

Control-P works as intended, but Text->Insert->Parameter gives the
following error:
