Last night I've done a bunch of work on the menu / parameter system. Most dynamic menus are now functional, checkmarks work as advertised. Most of the Options menu works.
I have to wrap that up and do the toolbar popups. After that it should be functional so I'll be doing a thorough checking of everything and bugfixes as needed. Then it's time to compile on Linux (Centos5 with qt4, to be precise) and on windows. The gs QImage loader has to be done, too, but that should be one evening type of a job, hopefully. And then it's time to start doing real porting. To learn how the verb system might work, I was looking into Inkscape codebase, they have done it in a reasonably clean way -- you can even graphically inspect the undo stack; I may rip that idea.
