Dear Jrgen,

I took the entire distrbution of the devel-2 version the day after you
announced it, from the CVS link from the xcmail home page. I thought that
would give me a clean platform to start from.

I'll have to look about getting the very latest version, but am being
pushed for time today.

Concerning the problem of xcmail not starting.

I had a received folder. (All correctly set up with the vfolders etc)
If I gzip it, but keep it in the Mail directory, then xcmail will not
start. Nor will it start if there is also the file received in the Mail
directory.

Now I know that the normal user of XCmail is not likely to come across
this, and it was only accident on my part that discovered this, as I was
doing a manual, longhand way of archiving. It may be totally irrelivent,
but thought to point it out. XCmail makes no complaint of the backup set
backup.tar.gz in the Mail directory, and indeed it shows as a folder (but
I don't try messing around with it).

Regards,

David Pilgram.
