Dear All,

I've tried restarting xcmail - no joy. I should point out that it's only
this one ISP, I've not the problem with any others.

I put a large email in this box, and by this means found that xcmail is
not uploading the file at all. It can tell there are files, it clearly
uploads something short (so not the whole large file), for it goes through
the routine in the pop-up window, but then there is nothing there!

Charles Cazabon's getmail program gives the following error message:

msg 1 : len 1111 ...pop3: exception "-ERR Invalid command; valid
commands: DELE, LAST, LIST, NOOP, RETR, RSET, STAT, TOP, or QUIT" during
retrieval, resetting...

Not very helpful, but I suspect whatever is causing the problem here is
also causing the problem with xcmail.

Chris Bagwell's poppy can download the mails, one at a time and saved to a
file, but that's all manual, and will be solution of last resort!

However, if there are errors, its a shame that xcmail does not report them
for retreving mail as it does in sending mail.

Regards,

David Pilgram
