Dear Jrgen and John,
Xclasses 1.4 compiled on my Slackware 9 box (gcc 3.2.2). But it does not compile on this Slackware 4 box, seemingly for the same reasons (in reverse) as 1.3 did not compile with gcc 3.2.2.
However, with Xclasses compiled on the S9 box, I hit a problem with
xc-mail-2.2.
The error message is
dateresend.cxx:51:default arguement given for parameter 2 of `void dateresend::resendmail(int, char* =0)' .... (more details of error message available if needed). ....
This does not happen with 2.3devel, although this is a fairly recent download of the tarball (mid April).
Right, there this has been fixed.
So I now have xc-mail running on both S4 and S9 partitions, but had to use different versions of xclasses and xc-mail in order to achieve this.
So 1.4 doesn't work on older gccs? Strange because the only fix was in the build script because gcc 3 gives longer version strings.
Jrgen
