I know this is the Windows solution, but have you tried logging out and
rebooting your computer?

I had serious issues a month or two ago where copy/paste and drag/drop (which
uses copy/paste) would stop working. This went on for a few weeks. One app I
use (LaunchBar) that keeps a clipboard history would occasionally provide a
dialog about a nil pasteboard. Logging out and logging back in would solve it
for a while but sometimes that "while" would only be an hour or two.

I tried quitting/disabling various apps I used that manipulate the pasteboard
such as LauchBar, TextExpander, etc. but none of that seemed to matter. I
finally booted into safe mode, repaired disk permissions, rebooted, and the
problem hasn't come back since.

HTH,
Dave
