This is it, thank you. It wasn't clear to me what "Discard" meant. TextWrangler has a much more intuitive UI, where it shows in one window the list of chunks, and in the two side-by-side windows highlights them. The list window has prominent arrows pointing left and right. A similar UI, with the right arrow disabled, would be much more intuitive. Also, Xcode 7b allowed the right pane to be modified, I noticed once. Seems like they fixed that problem.
