Hi Helmut,

1. This is the off-track-indicator that is shown when your current 
direction of flight differs more then 30 degrees from the direction of 
your next waypoint. It works like this: If there is a good looking cloud 
40 degrees off track and xcsoar draws a "12" roughly at that position, 
it means that flying to this position and afterwards to the waypoint you 
would have flown a distance that is 12 percent longer than the straight 
line to the waypoint.

2. This is the Thermal Profile. It is basically a diagram showing 
average lift over altitude.

3. I think it is, but you would need a special application for that. 
Unfortuatly I forgot the name... help anyone?! If was something with "N" 
and "virtual" I think...

4. XCSoar is using everything we get from the devices attached. That 
includes barometric altitude which can be shown in a infobox called "Alt 
Baro" if I remember correctly
